Crab fishing reforms divide industry into haves and have-nots

Crab fishing reforms divide industry into haves and have-nots

When a King Crab boat employee loses his or her job, why is it that they blame the industry, rather than the socialist politicians who created the policy that led to his loosing his job?!? Im tired of hearing things like this from the Seattle Times. They are typical leftist ... blame everyone who's out there competing, busting their butts to make their OWN security, while praising the people who are most responsible for hamstringing the industialists! The fact of the matter is, that King Crab in Alaska has been under seige for a long time, and he should have been planning for this day.

Bopping the Countryside: Crab fishing reforms divide industry into haves and have-nots

Good call bopper! anyone who only works part of the year shouldnt complain when things change. This gentleman, while he may have had an honest, honorable job on the King Crab boat, could have saved the ENORMOUS amounts of manoey paid to him either for his retirment comfort, or to buy into a boat!

3 cheers for capitalism!

FishingHurts.com >> Top 10 Reasons Not to Eat Salmon

FishingHurts.com >> Top 10 Reasons Not to Eat Salmon

The insanity continues! These people are trying to tell us that salmon have cognitive skills. PLEASEEE, you must be joking. I wonder when the media is going to begin treating Peta as the nut cakes they are. Not to mention the convincing evodence that they are responsible for encouragingEco terrorism. The people you meet from animal liberation front usually are usually friends with them. Godd Bless your souls!

Eat wild salmon for a healthy body. I for one believe in the human souls' divinity, and believe God put animals on earth like wild salmon for our use.

San Marcos Daily Record

Sounds like fun! Alaskan Salmon fishing is about as good as it gets. Not only do you get to enjoy some great scenery, but the healthy product of a Coho fishing trip will be the crowning jewel of a great vacation!

Fortunately, the Alaska salmon industry have proved to be great stewards of the wild salmon as a food resource, ensuring healthy runs for years to come. I'm curious to see if the new ESA leaves its hands off of the salmon industry, because the record for saving things is dismal. Of the several thousand animals which have been classified as endangered, a puetry 2 dozen have held on. Just goes to show that we are arrogant to think we can bamboozle mother nature with legislation!
